Whether it was seeing the Avengers come together, seeing characters hop over to different shows in the Marvel Netflix universe, or Phil Coulson on Agents of SHIELD, we love crossovers! So it stands to reason that getting a mashup between two of the newer shows would be met with open arms, as Jeph Loeb teases a crossover between Hulu’s Runaways and Freeform’s Cloak & Dagger.
“What we like what Josh [Schwartz] and Steph [Savage] is that this [Runaways] is a show that can stay on its own,” Loeb told ComicBook.com’s Brandon Davis.
“It can reference the rest of the world, but it’s true to teenagers — they’re not interested in what Tony Stark is doing this week or what Matt Murdock is doing this week but they might be interested in a couple of kids who live down in New Orleans and what’s going on there.”
Considering that Tyrone Johnson and Tandy Bowen have been members of the Runaways in the Marvel comics, this would totally be plausible. Cloak & Dagger’s showrunner Joe Pokaski has previously stated that there have bee conversations as to how this mashup could work:
“We’ve had some exciting conversations about how we could artfully cross Tandy and Tyrone over [to other Marvel properties],” Pokaski explained. “The beauty of these two is that they can show up anywhere [and it makes sense].”
Considering how well both shows are doing, if the fans wanted it enough, it’s possible we could be seeing a Runaways and Cloak & Dagger crossover. How do you feel about this? Something you want or would you like the shows to continue to be separate?[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
