Joby Harold and James Vanderbilt Set To Write New Transformers Movies

The Transformers franchise is alive and well, Paramount has made sure of that. Riding the coattails of Bumblebee’s success, the studio has tapped two writers to expand their franchise. Joby Harold (Army of the Dead) and James Vanderbilt (Zodiac). The news comes from The Hollywood Reporter and they state that the writers will pen separate scripts.

The report does not indicate which of the Transformers franchises will go into development but one would assume a storyline continuation of Bumblebee and according to Daniel RPK via Patreon, a Beast Wars film is also being developed. The Beast Wars film could be totally separate from what Joby and James are working on but it seems unlikely. Paramount and Hasbro hope to get multiple storylines and evolve the Transformers movie franchise even bigger.
