[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”7180″ img_size=”800×450″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]It has been very dry with Star Wars news lately, but we do know what is going on with Lucas films and their plans. Jon Favreau with his series starting between Return of the Jedi and Force Awakens, Ryan Johnson’s trilogy, new season of Clone Wars, and Star Wars Resistance.
We finally got some more good news, at least for me, Kathleen Kennedy has extended her deal with Lucas film for three more years. Yes! I know a lot of you all are not happy with this, but for the franchise as a whole it is a good thing.
I love Kathleen Kennedy she has help bring out great content, but I do have a problem with her. I think she needs to be more focus so the incident with Solo should not happen again. This means making sure her and the directors she hires has everything sorted. This excuse of creative differences is not going going to cut it any more.
She has done beautifully with Force Awakens, Rouge One and Last Jedi critically and box-office success. Force Awakens (Domestic – $936,662,225 / Worldwide – $2,068,223,624), The Last Jedi (Domestic – $620,181,382 / Worldwide – $1,332,539,889), Rogue One (Domestic – $532,177,324 / Worldwide – $1,056,057,273), Solo: A Star Wars movie (Domestic – $213,767,512 / Worldwide – $393,849,523).
As you can see Kathleen Kennedy has done almost perfectly making Disney money.Obviously Solo was pretty bad for the box-office, but overall it has been a huge success for Disney/Lucas Film.
If you want to discuss critically just leave a comment. I would happily discuss your thought on the film. Also, do you agree or disagree that Kathleen should stay?
