‘Lady and the Tramp’ Remake to bring on Justin Theroux

I In the spirit of remakes and reboots, did you know there is a live-action/CGI Lady and the Tramp adaption in the works? According to Collider, Justin Thereoux is in negotiations with Disney over providing the voice for the Tramp. Collider also reports that Emmy nominated actress Ashley Jensen will be providing the voice to the Scottish Terrier named Jackie.

This remake is based on the 1955 film, which is personally a favorite of mine. The animated movie is about a female American cocker spaniel named Lady and a male stray named Tramp. Lady comes from an upper-class family, while Tramp lives on the streets. In the cutest of fashions, the two fall in love, as anything is possible with Disney!

The film will premiere on Disney’s upcoming streaming service, predicted to launch in 2019. Theroux has been all over the place recently, from his work on HBO’s The Leftovers, The Spy Who Dumped Me, and he’s voicing Dropkick, a character that will be included in the upcoming Bumblebee movie.

I will always personally know Theroux as the guy who played two characters in HBO’s hit show, Sex and The City. Another noteworthy project of his, Mulholland Drive; starring Naomi Watts is a must see if you’re into trippy films with semi-confusing endings. As for the Lady and the Tramp movie, Disney is still searching for its Lady, but has brought Ashley Jensen on board to voice a dog who is friends with Lady.

Lady and the Tramp is directed by Charlie Bean
