Lionsgate To Release The Cult Comedy Favorite 'Mystery Team' On Blu-Ray This January

Lionsgate Home Entertainment is set to release the cult comedy favorite Mystery Team on Blu-Ray for the first time as a part of the Vestron Video Collector’s Series on January 13, 2026. The film is directed by Dan Eckman and stars Donald Glover, DC Pierson, Dominic Dierkes, and Aubrey Plaza. Synopsis: They were kid detectives. Now they’re eighteen and still solving child crimes. But when the Mystery Team is challenged to solve a murder, they’re pulled into a dangerous world of sex, drugs, and swear words. From Derrick Comedy, the Internet comedy sensation whose short films have been viewed over 150 million times online, comes this strangely hilarious, completely unique film that’s been called “‘Encyclopedia Brown’ meets Napoleon Dynamite with a pinch of Ace Ventura” (Cinematical).
