Video Quality
Decal Releasing brings Longlegs to Blu-Ray with a fairly solid 1080p video presentation, but this is a film crying out for a 4K UHD Blu-Ray release. Thankfully, a 4K UHD Blu-Ray was released at the same time as the Blu-Ray, but it was not made available to us for review. The film is consistently dark even when it is not nighttime thanks to the aesthetic of the feature. The black levels on the Blu-Ray run toward a milky shade that swallows quite a bit of detail, which is something we could see being improved on the 4K UHD. This disc experiences some banding in the darkest moments, and other minor digital quirks keep the transfer from being a home run.
Beyond this, the image is crisp and clean with exceptional textures present in the environments. Flesh tones are natural with a splendid amount of detail such as lines and pores present in close-ups. Some unsettling makeup effects make an impression in HD. The presentation delivers a notable amount of depth in some scenes, especially in an expansive setting later in the film. The costumes provide clear textural details. This release holds up well enough, but we will likely pick up the 4K UHD Blu-Ray to have the best version for this one.
Audio Quality
This Blu-Ray comes with a dynamic DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio track that captures this unsettling narrative without a hiccup. Dialogue comes through crisply and clearly without being lost to any competing sounds. The score emanates from the speakers with crisp fidelity. Environmental sounds are key to establishing the haunting nature of the story, and various creepy sounds effectively permeate the surround speakers. Ambient sounds are deftly placed in the rear channels for a fully three-dimensional experience. Key moments add texture to the low end making things extra visceral. The audio track delivers on all fronts. Optional English SDH and Spanish subtitles are provided.

Final Thoughts
Longlegs is yet another memorable outing from Osgood Perkins that may be slightly style over substance, but the style truly is impeccable. This film builds such a creepy atmosphere through a methodical deployment of character moments and world-building that you cannot help but be overcome by the culmination at the end. The performances are incredible across the board, but we want to make sure to give a proper shoutout to Alicia Witt who we love to see given such a memorable part. This is not a film for all audiences, but those who love it will hold it dear for years to come. Decal Releasing has released a Blu-Ray featuring a fine A/V presentation and an entertaining assortment of supplements. If you do love the movie, you might want to spring for the 4K UHD Blu-Ray.
