The complete third season of Lucifer will come to DVD next week, but a deleted scene was exclusively shared with comicbook.com and shows the return of a very familiar face. In the clip, “Welcome Back, Charlotte Richards”, we have Tricia Helfer showing up without the influence of Mom. It’s a pretty badass scene that you should definitely take a moment to watch! If you don’t remember, Helfer showed up in season two as her character Charlotte had the misfortune of being taken over by Lucifer’s mom, who was eventually cast out.
As to why the decision was made to bring Helfer back, executive producer Joe Henderson stated,
“We loved working with Tricia so much that we brought her back as an entirely different character in the same body. It was so wonderful to see Tricia finding a way to play the character in a way that was completely different but that people wouldn’t necessarily feel like she was a different person. It was great to have an episode that really focused on her as a lead.”
Lucifer season three will be available on DVD and Blu-Ray next week, as well as Digital HD on August 28th. Lucifer was canceled after three seasons on FOX, but will pick up on Netflix with Season Four.
