Magazine Cover Reveals First Look at ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’

Today, Vanity Fair revealed the magazine cover of its latest issue which will focus on the upcoming Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Writer Lev Grossman and famed portrait photographer Annie Leibovitz were both invited on the movie sets to provide readers an inside scoop of the epic conclusion of the Skywalker saga. (Fun fact: Leibovitz first photographed the cast of The Empire Strikes Back for Rolling Stone back in 1980. Then, since The Phantom Menace in 1999, Leibovitz has visited the set and shot portraits from each Star Wars film. SOURCE: LA Times)

Appearing on the twin covers are Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and Rey (Daisy Ridley), who are both seen in new costumes for the upcoming film. Also in this issue, readers are given multiple first looks at the other cast and crew members behind the film. These behind-the-scenes images bring back the characters and locations already known to Star Wars fans as well as unveil new characters and sceneries we have not seen before until now.

This sneak peek is definitely making movie fans from around the world very excited for the final installment of the Star Wars sequel trilogy, especially since it is coming a month after the initial first look and release of the teaser trailer that was premiered at Star Wars Celebration in Chicago, IL.
