Synopsis: “Scream and Cry Horror Movie Review” follows a goth girl, Scream (Mimi Torres), and a possessed puppet rat, Cry (voiced by E.G. Daily) as they battle demons and review horror movies in their chamber basement. The campy horror-comedy review show chronicles the devilish stories of both Scream and Cry while discussing the very best in horror from the Magnolia Pictures catalog alongside a revolving cast of characters including Juliet Landau, Thom Pinto, Bill Prokopow and Donte Paris.
The full slate of movies being covered in the first season are as follows:
Episode 1 – Scream and Cry Horror Movie Review: Tucker & Dale VS. Evil
Scream and Cry review Tucker & Dale vs. Evil, the tale of two best friends on vacation at their dilapidated mountain house, who are mistaken for murderous backwoods hillbillies, from their creepy chamber basement, fending off nosy neighbor Father Bill, quarrelsome jack-in-the-boxes Jackie and John, and ghoul duo Mr. Creepy and Baddy, as outrageous gore, sharp sarcasm, and over-the-top horror-comedy chaos take over. Directed by Reed Shelly.
Episode 2 – Scream and Cry Horror Movie Review: Splinter
Scream and Cry tackle Splinter, raving over Toby Wilkins’ parasite-spike nightmare while fending off meddling Father Bill, prank-loving Dark Pixie, ghoulish pair Mr. Creepy and Baddy, and the quarrelsome Jackie and John. Tense, grisly, and loaded with creature-feature thrills. Directed by Reed Shelly.
Episode 3 – Scream and Cry Horror Movie Review: Alone
Scream and Cry take on Alone, a nerve-twisting survival thriller where a grieving widow’s solo road trip turns into a fight for her life against a relentless stalker. As Scream praises its tense pacing and sharp performances, Cry roots for the creep while inhaling quesadillas and dodging interruptions from Father Bill, Mr. Creepy and Baddy, Jackie and John, and the ever-delivering Hot Delivery Guy. What follows is a gripping chase through forests, rivers, and raw fear — with Jessica proving she’s one hell of a survivor. Directed by Reed Shelly.
Episode 4 – Scream and Cry Horror Movie Review: Censor
Scream and Cry dive into Censor, exploring its 1980s “video nasties” paranoia and censorship while Cry, distracted and spiraling, fixates on finding his long-lost brother Sly. Between tense psychological twists, repressed trauma, and brutal on-screen shocks, they fend off Father Bill, Dark Pixie, Mr. Creepy, Baddy, and the bickering Jackie and John. Directed by Reed Shelly.
Episode 5 – Scream and Cry Horror Movie Review: Held
Scream and Cry take on Held, where a crumbling marriage getaway turns into a nightmare inside a high-tech smart house controlled by a sadistic “Evil Voice.” As Scream digs into its feminist edge and themes of control, Cry cheers for the twisted tech and dreams of his own “smart” basement. Directed by Bill Prokopow.
Episode 6 – Scream and Cry Horror Movie Review: The Canyon
Scream and Cry tackle The Canyon, where a honeymoon hiking trip turns into a fight for survival against nature, predators, and bad decisions. As danger mounts, Cry fixates on his own survival “training” (aka snack hoarding), while Scream navigates the suspense. Along the way, they endure interruptions from Father Bill, prankster Dark Pixie, quirky Mr. Creepy and Baddy, and the ever-quarreling Jackie and John. Directed by Reed Shelly.
Episode 7 – Scream and Cry Horror Movie Review: Severance
Scream and Cry tackle Severance, where a corporate team-building retreat becomes a bloody, booby-trapped nightmare in the woods. Scream admires its razor-sharp satire, while Cry lives for the bear traps, decapitations, and bonus cheese pizza. Father Bill meddles, Dark Pixie causes chaos, and Mr. Creepy and Baddy debate the finer points of “teamwork” while Jackie and John spat about their own lack of it. Directed by Reed Shelly.
Episode 8 – Scream and Cry Horror Movie Review: Agnes
Scream and Cry take on Agnes, diving into its unholy mashup of possession horror and raw personal trauma. Cry obsesses over the face-biting scenes while Scream digs into its layered commentary on faith and control. Between nuns gone rogue, dubious exorcists, and emotional breakdowns, they fend off Father Bill, mischief-making Dark Pixie, Mr. Creepy and Baddy, plus Jackie and John’s sniping from the sidelines. Directed by Reed Shelly.
Episode 9 – Scream and Cry Horror Movie Review: V/H/S: Viral
Scream and Cry dive into V/H/S: Viral, riffing on its internet fame-obsessed horror tales while Cry schemes to become a viral star himself. Along the way, they dodge barbs from Dark Pixie, snooping Father Bill, evil Mr. Creepy and sweet Baddy, and the sniping Jackie and John, amid twisted magic, undead havoc, and skateboarding zombie carnage. Directed by Bill Prokopow.
Episode 10 – Scream and Cry Horror Movie Review: Amulet
Scream and Cry take on Amulet, a slow-burn nightmare where a war-torn drifter finds shelter in a rotting house hiding something monstrous in the attic. As Scream unpacks its feminist revenge and surreal dread, Cry alternates between loving the gore and dodging Dark Pixie’s relentless pranks. Brace for grotesque reveals, supernatural vengeance, and one unforgettable “Mother” from hell. Directed by Reed Shelly.
Episode 11 – Scream and Cry Horror Movie Review: Kiss of the Damned
Scream and Cry take on Kiss of the Damned, Xan Cassavetes’ seductive, European-styled vampire tale where passion burns hotter than daylight. Scream swoons over its gothic romance while Cry dreams of eternal nightlife — and nonstop neck-biting. Between Father Bill’s sketchy snack runs, Mr. Creepy and Baddy’s undead dating tips, and Jackie and John’s marital snipes, they watch love, lust, and bloodlust spiral out of control. Directed by Reed Shelly.
Episode 12 – Scream and Cry Horror Movie Review: The Sacrament
Scream and Cry take on The Sacrament, confronting the movie’s tense, all-too-real descent into control, fear, and blind devotion within a deadly cult, while fielding relentless interruptions from Hot Delivery Guy, lurking Father Bill, prankster Dark Pixie, and Mr. Creepy and Baddy. Directed by Bill Prokopow.
