Magnolia Home Entertainment has just released the impactful documentary Food, Inc. 2 on Blu-Ray, DVD, and On Demand. The sequel to the revolutionary 2008 documentary is directed by Robert Kenner and Melissa Robledo. In the sequel, the filmmakers reunite with investigative authors Michael Pollan and Eric Schlosser as they delve deeper into the efficient yet vulnerable food industry, uncovering truths about food production through compelling interviews, and surprising revelations.

In anticipation of this exciting release, GVN has been provided with an exclusive new clip from the label that has us more excited than ever for audiences to check this one out. Take a look and then get the full details below!

Synopsis: FOOD, INC. 2 picks up where its predecessor left off, taking a deep dive and firsthand look into the exploitation and manipulation that still exists in the food industry. Telling a familiar, yet new story, the film covers the growing monopoly of large food corporations, worker exploitation, government policy, farming innovations, and the disturbing effects of “ultra-processed” foods.

Directors Robert Kenner and Melissa Robledo reunite with investigative authors Michael Pollan (The Omnivore’s Dilemma) and Eric Schlosser (Fast Food Nation) to take a timely and fresh look at our vulnerable food system. Although originally only inspired by the impact of COVID on workplace conditions, Kenner and Robledo’s film quickly transformed into a wider exploration of the systemic problems faced in our food system.
