Birds of Prey was one of the few comic book movies to be released in 2020. Starring Margot Robbie, Jurnee Smollett, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Ewan McGregor, Rosie Perez, and Ella Jay Basco, Birds of Prey was a fun time in the theaters and at home.
We’ll be seeing Robbie return as Harley Quinn in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad, but will we see another Birds of Prey film? Robbie has an update, albeit an unsure update. An interview with Den of Geek, the actress explained:
“I don’t know if that is on the horizon anytime soon. I don’t think it’s a no. But no, there’s no sequel in the works that I’m aware of at this stage.”
While Birds of Prey was a fun film, it didn’t always rank too high among certain critics’ lists. However, with Hollywood clearly seeing the allure of Robbie as the clown jester of crime, perhaps Warner Bros. will do something with its Birds of Prey property. There’s so many stories to tell!
