Mark Hamill Reveals BTS Info About Iconic “I Am Your Father” Moment

One of the coolest iconic moments in Star Wars was when Darth Vader revealed that he was indeed Luke Skywalker’s father. This shocked Luke, the viewers, and remains one of the lines that fans love to immediate. As a truly shocking moment, it must have been hard for those working on Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back to keep this a secret.

After a fan requested cool behind the scene information on this iconic moment, Mark Hamill decided to oblige. This included revealing that “Luke, I am your father” was dubbed in after shooting the scene. Instead, while on set, Darth Vader’s original line was:

“You don’t know the truth, Obi-Wan killed your father.”
