[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”10106″ img_size=”720×359″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]It is looking like Kevin Feige may very well be serious about his plan to include more diversity in the Marvel Cinematic Universe moving forward. With the success of Black Panther and the buzz surrounding Captain Marvel, Feige is seeing that audience members don’t want to just see the same thing and want to see superheroes who look like them. Well, it seems, according to That Hashtag Show; that the 2020 MCU film, The Eternals, will have an openly gay actor for a lead role in the movie, which is going to span thousands of years.
The search is on for an actor in between the ages of 30-49, who:
“Physically looks like a superhero.”
It doesn’t seem like the studio has a preference as far as ethnicity goes, but they would highly prefer an openly gay actor. Which, I’m hoping means an openly gay character. The LGBT community is something that has been touched upon in Agents of SHIELD, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, but never in the big-screen MCU. This would really be the studio’s chance to correct this and have equal representation for everyone.
