‘Marvel’s Runaways’ will come to a close after Season 3

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”2528″ img_size=”710×473″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]It has been a going trend recently for many of Marvel Television series to be going by the wayside. It started with the Netflix collaborations with Marvel as one after another were cancelled.  Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Daredevil, The Punisher, and Jessica Jones all fell under the Netflix proverbial axe. Recently, it was Freeform’s Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger and now, it has been announced that Hulu’s Marvel’s Runaways will meet a similar end after Season 3.

Considering that the control of Marvel television has been assumed by Kevin Feige, this shouldn’t be a huge surprise. Especially since there is a push is for most content to appear on Disney+. It was hoped however, that the Cloak and Dagger characters would be resurrected in the Runaway series. That hope has been dashed under the cancellation wheels.

Currently under the old format, Marvel television only has the live-action Helstrom series and a set of five animated shows being produced. All of which are set to release on Hulu. Other than that, there is only the final season of ABC’s Marvel’s Agents of Shield. This will undoubtedly change as the slew of original Marvel content is released on Disney+.

Are you disappointed that The Runaways have met with the same fate as the previous Marvel Television entries? Share your thoughts with us at Geek Vibes Nation.
