‘Matrix 4’ In The Works?

As arguably one of the best philosophical action movie series of all time, ‘The Matrix’ is still, to this day being copied. I can’t think of any other franchise that was referenced, in the early 2000’s, more than ‘The Matrix’. From the famous, slow motion backwards bullet dodge, to the option of the red pill or the blue pill, to the cryptic mysteriousness of Morpheus, it was truly influential in film and left fans wanting more.

Well according to JoBlo.com ‘John Wick 3’ director, Chad Stahelski insists that the Wachowski duo are indeed involved in working on a new installment. Stahelski spoke with Yahoo Movies UK and said:

“I’m super happy that the Wachowskis are not just doing a Matrix, but they’re expanding what we all loved. And if it’s anywhere near the level of what they’ve already done, it wouldn’t take more than a call to go, ‘Hey, we want you to be a stunt guy’ and I would probably go and get hit by a car.”

He doubles down on his previous statement saying:

“… And if they wanted help, I would absolutely put down whatever I was doing to help them,”

Not only is it exciting that the Wachowskis are involved but if Stahleski is as well, in a bigger capacity than just as a stuntman, it could make for an epic film. Now, there has not been an official announcement that Lana and Lilly Wachowski are officially involved yet, but who else could do it better? I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m ready for more Neo and Morpheus. Be on the look out for more updates on this and let us know if you’re excited in the comments or on Twitter.
