Matt Smith Joins ‘Star Wars: Episode IX’

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”4261″ img_size=”436×284″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Matt Smith may be best known for his role as the 11th doctor on the hit BBC show Dr. Who, but fans of Smith’s will be happy to hear that The Crown actor will be joining J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: Episode IX. We don’t know what character he is playing or what side he will align himself with, but it definitely is exciting for this already star-studded film to be bringing on a fan-favorite actor like Smith.

Among Smith, Episode IX will also be bringing on newcomers Keri Russell, Richard E. Grant, Dominic Monaghan, ad Naomi Ackie. Fans will be happy to know that Billy Dee Williams is returning to reprise his role as Lando Calrissian, who was recently portrayed by Donald Glover in Solo: A Star Wars Story.
