‘MEGA MAN’ Live Action Film In The Works

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Have you been asking yourself when are we going to see a Mega Man film? You haven’t?! I haven’t either but that doesn’t mean I don’t want one, in fact I think I’d really like to see that. Capcom announced that we would in fact be getting a live action Mega Man film, a nice surprise to help celebrate its 30th Anniversary.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”7553″ img_size=”600×350″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]According to IGN the movie will be titled MEGA MAN and will be written and directed by Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost for Fox Studios. You can see an official press release here.

Capcom said in a statement that they

“want to appeal to a diverse audience, including not only game players but action movie fans as well, with an adaptation that maintains the world of the Mega Man games, while incorporating the grand production and entertainment value that Hollywood movies are known for.”

So what do you think of today’s news regarding a live action Mega Man movie? Are you excited or cautiously optimistic? We know Hollywood does not have a great track record with games being adapted to film, I’m looking at you Assassins Creed.
