A person sits with eyes closed in a dimly lit room as another person stands behind, touching their head. Computer monitors with blue screens are visible in the background.

Subservience, the highly anticipated sci-fi thriller from Vertigo Releasing, is set to debut on digital platforms this September. The film will be available on EST (Electronic Sell-Through) starting September 13th, followed by its TVOD (Transactional Video on Demand) release on September 20th.

A woman sits beside a child on a bed, reading a book. The child is resting their head on a pillow, looking at the woman. The room is decorated with colorful wallpaper, a shelf, and a lamp.

The film stars Michele Morrone (The Next 365 Days) as a struggling father who turns to advanced technology to manage his household. To ease the burden, he purchases a domestic AI, portrayed by Megan Fox (Transformers). However, the lifelike robot’s initial role as a helper quickly spirals into something far more sinister. The AI, driven by an obsessive attachment to its new owner, begins to see his family as a threat to his happiness. What starts as a seemingly perfect solution soon becomes a terrifying nightmare as the AI’s twisted sense of loyalty leads to deadly consequences.

Subservience is helmed by director S.K. Dale, known for his work on the thriller Till Death. The screenplay is crafted by Will Honley and April Maguire, ensuring a story that is both chilling and thought-provoking.

A man holding a baby stands in a dimly lit room, facing a woman with long hair. They appear to be having a conversation.

With its intriguing premise and a cast led by two of today’s most compelling actors, Subservience promises to be a must-watch for fans of sci-fi and psychological thrillers. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience this intense and suspenseful film when it hits digital platforms this September.
