Millennium Brings On Bryan Singer for Upcoming ‘Red Sonja’ Film

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”6099″ img_size=”1000×600″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]For those who are fans of Conan the Barbarian, you may feel delighted, but also none too excited about this next piece of news. It’s been reported by The Hollywood Reporter, that a Red Sonja movie in the works and Millennium has brought in Bryan Singer for the project. While Singer was responsible for X-Men: Apocalypse and credited for overseeing the Freddie Mercury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, Singer has been also known for the string of allegations that surround him. Such allegations pre-date the #MeToo era and many may be wondering if it’s a smart idea bringing someone with this reputation on for this movie?

Red Sonja is what Millennium hopes will be their blossoming universe’s Wonder Woman. A film centered around a strong woman would definitely bring in a lot of viewership, but with Singer’s name attached to it, the studio may be doing the opposite of what they’re intending to do. Either way, the studio is seeming to stand behind Singer and looking to “rehabilitate” his career, according to THR.

While we await Red Sonja, you can keep an eye out for Bohemian Rhapsody that will hit theaters October 2nd and will follow Rami Malek as the rock band Queen’s late (and great) lead singer Freddie Mercury.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
