Miranda Richardson Added to Game of Thrones Prequel, ‘The Long Night’

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”18046″ img_size=”800×450″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Somewhere along the way, the creative team behind The Long Night must have decided they needed a reporter with a “Quick-Quotes Quill” to record things down. Just don’t be surprised if the record is full of lies. HBO has announced that Oscar nominated actress Miranda Richardson has been added to the cast of the Game of Thrones Prequel, The Long Night. Richardson is best known in fantasy lore for her role as Rita Skeeter in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 1. As such, she is quite familiar with the need for secrecy during a production.

Details of Richardson’s character are unknown at this time ( as is usual with HBO and Game of Thrones) but she is joining fellow Oscar Nominee Naomi Watts, and Josh Whitehouse, along with a cast that includes Naomi Ackie (Star Wars Episode IX), Denise Gough (The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt), Jamie Campbell Bower (Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald), Sheila Atim (Harlots), Ivanno Jeremiah (Black Mirror), Georgie Henley (The Chronicles of Narnia), Alex Sharp (To the Bone) and Toby Regbo (Reign).

With the end of Game of Thrones rapidly approaching, are you looking forward to this prequel to fill the aching void that will be left when it reaches its conclusion? Share your thoughts on The Long Night with us at GVNation.
