‘MORTAL KOMBAT’ Leads A Slew of New Titles Coming To HBO Max In April

GVN HBO Max April

Finally, spring is here! HBO Max is kicking up their heels and adding gobs of content to their streaming service. WarnerMedia will be giving subscribers over 100 crisp TV shows and movies to watch. They have a couple of series premieres that are said to knock our socks off. We will also see some classics and a few originals.

April 1st is the day not to miss this year. No fooling HBO is loading us up with endless hours of viewing pleasure. Coming to your screen are classics like Easy Rider, Dirty Harry, and Goodfellas. Need a superhero fix? Be sure to watch Green Lantern with Ryan Reynolds’ or Nicolas Cage in Ghost Rider. Also hitting the streaming service is the original Space Jam with Micheal Jordan. Make sure you watch this before the sequel hits HBO Max this summer.

What we are all waiting for comes on out on the 10th of the month – The New Mutants! This will be the final movie in Fox’s X-Men series. Up next what I have been waiting for the premiere of the series The Nevers. What has me pumped about this series is it is set in Victorian times and is a fantasy about superpowered women. Despite some negative press because the creator, Joss Whedon stepped away from production after all the controversy about him, I am going to give this show a shot. I’m a huge fan of anything set in historical times.

Another highlight for April that we have been waiting for is the new Mortal Kombat. April 16th the film will be in theaters as well as HBO Max. Now if you’re not going to catch it in the theaters don’t miss it on the streaming service as it will only stream for 31 days. This cherished video game has been reimagined and gamers are excited to see it. Cole Young (Lewis Tan) is a mixed martial artist who has to recruit a team of fighters to defend the planet. Can he do it? Tune in and see.

Kate Winslet’s drama Mare of Easttown drops in April also. The actress portrays a small-town Pennsylvania detective that investigates a gruesome murder. HBO Max has this and so much more here’s the full list of everything that’s new on HBO Max next month:
