Let’s get down to business!
Sorry, whenever I think of Mulan, I can’t help, but think of one of the most well-known songs from the 1998 animated classic Disney movie. Currently shooting in New Zealand and China, the live-action adaptation features Liu Yifei as Mulan and according to a source, there will be music featured. This is contradicting an earlier statement from the director Niki Caro who responded to a rumor of no songs being in the film, when talking to Moviefone:
“Yes, from what I understand, no songs right now, much to the horror of my children.”
Another tidbit we know is that Mushu will be indeed appearing in Mulan. How could you not include the dragon (not lizard) voiced famously by Eddie Murphy? As Mulan’s muse essentially, I’m glad to at least have this constant from the beloved animated film.
Disney’s Mulan will hit theaters on March 27, 2020.
