A brand-new character in the DC Universe comes into focus as Naomi confronts the one person in her small town she is convinced knows the secret of her mysterious adoption and her obsession with Superman. The truth is going to change both her and the DC Universe forever. The secret of Naomi opens the door to an enormous reveal you will not want to miss. This exciting new mystery from the powerhouse creative team of writers Brian Michael Bendis (Jessica Jones, Spider-Man) and David F. Walker (Shaft, Cyborg) and new, amazing art talent Jamal Campbell. – DC Comics

Brian Michael Bendis, David F. Walker, and Jamal Campbell chemistry are off the charts! The story brilliantly infused with the art just makes this a perfect read for everyone.

Okay now that I got that out of my system. Let’s talk about this issue, Brian Michael Bendis and David F. Walker found a way to make this one of the most compelling stories this year and that is saying something especially with comics like The Batman Who Laughs by Scott Snyder, Young Justice by Brian Michael Bendis, Detective Comics and so much more. Giving us a character with no powers or abilities feels refreshing. In this issue, We finally got a few questions answered like, who was the woman in the photo Naomi found in Dee’s shop? Is Dee her real father? We also got a little tease of Dee’s past with the woman in the photo, but we are also left with more questions.

In the past issues of Naomi we are shown that the parents were always nice and caring at times it felt a little awkward to me like they were hiding something, which they were but not in a way I thought. In this issue, we actually got some real emotions from Naomi’s parents; from Naomi’s mom getting angry to the father showing that he will always love and protect Naomi no matter what.

Like I said earlier, Brian Michael Bendis, David F. Walker, and Jamal Campbell chemistry are off the charts! I really love the story by Brian Michael Bendis, David F. Walker but without Jamal Campbell, this series might feel like it was missing something. Campbell’s art is incredible from the attention to detail whether it is to Dee’s tattoos, facial expressions, battle sequences you can tell that he puts one-hundred percent into his work, but that is not the only thing, Campbell’s art enhances the story in a way that makes the audience not only feel invested in the current issue but also make the audience read the next.

If you have not picked up Naomi yet I highly suggest you do! Great visuals and amazing story I promise this comic will not disappoint at all.[/vc_column_text][vc_images_carousel images=”18208,18209,18210,18211,18212,18213″ img_size=”411×631″ speed=”3000″ autoplay=”yes” wrap=”yes”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
