Video Quality
Naomi: The Complete Series arrives on Blu-Ray with a fetching AVC encoded 1080p transfer in its original 1.78:1. This is an improvement from the broadcast and streaming versions of the show, as the disc provides a more reliable and stable image. There are no unsightly instances of aliasing or compression artifacts detectable here. The amount of minute detail in this presentation is quite wonderful, as all of the intricate facets of the production design are easily identifiable. Black levels are deep and provide a nice amount of detail in shadows. The bright whites do not veer into any blooming with this presentation. The color palette tends to be cooler with less pastels, but certain locations and special effects display some magical instances of beautiful colors popping off the screen. Skin tones appear very natural across the entire cast. The Blu-Ray is quite stunning and represents the show exactly how you wish.
Audio Quality
This Blu-Ray comes with an immersive DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio track that creates a fully three-dimensional world. A notable standout aspect of this show is the soundtrack which adds a lot of style and ambiance to the story. This perfectly sets the tone, and it creates a pleasantly enveloping soundscape that draws you deeper into the show. Dialogue always comes through crisp and clear without being trampled on by the score or any sound effects. Kinetic moments are given the appropriate power in the mix with a substantial showing in the low end. Environmental sounds are precisely placed in the rear channels with each sound balanced well. Panning effects executed flawlessly allow everything to sound natural to the world. This is a top tier audio presentation.

Final Thoughts
Naomi had its fair share of rocky moments during its first (and only) season, but the show held a lot of promise with its pseudo-retelling of the Superman story from a different perspective. The greatest strength of this show is the world it built and the characters that were created to inhabit it. The creative voices behind the scenes understood what this character could mean to audiences, and they treated her with respect just as they gave depth to most of the ensemble. Some of the writing was a little inconsistent, sometimes clunky or rushed, but the show seemed to be finding its footing. We may never get to experience what this show had in store, but we are grateful to experience what we did. Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has released a Blu-Ray featuring an amazing A/V presentation and a couple of fun special features. The series may have been canceled, but it is worth checking out if you are open to the concept. Recommended
