Narcos: Mexico’s Scoot McNairy is Happy People Are Watching ‘Halt and Catch Fire’

You can currently watch Scoot McNairy as DEA agent Walt Breslin in Netflix’s Narcos: Mexico. The third and final season just came out and believe me, you should watch it.

On top of playing the complex character on Narcos: Mexico, McNairy played another main character on an AMC show that came out a few years ago. While Halt and Catch Fire may not have been as watched as it is now, actor McNairy says he’s happy people are finally getting around to it. I suggest seeing it as well – not only does it star McNair, but also Lee Pace, Mackenzie Davis, and Kerry Bishe. All incredibly talented and it’s about the computer boom in the 80s. Frankly, it’s one of my favorite shows ever.

McNairy expressed:

“That was my first series, and the viewership was not high. So it was this unnerving feeling that not very many people were watching the show and you didn’t know if you were going to go back. But AMC stuck behind it, they kept pushing it, and they believed in the show. In the pandemic everyone went through their queues and they got around to it. People comment on that show more than probably anything else I’ve done. I’m always appreciative of the diehard fans that really stuck with us from the beginning.”

Halt and Catch Fire is currently on Netflix – you can read my review here. Also, make sure you’re checking out Narcos: Mexico on Netflix now.
