[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”29680″ img_size=”760×380″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]NBCUniversal’s upcoming streaming services will launch in April of 2020 under the name Peacock. Along with the announcement of the name and date, reboots were also announced. While we know that Punky Brewster will experience a reboot, it looks like so will Battlestar Galactica and Saved by the Bell. According to reports, Mario Lopez and Elizabeth Berkley will return to reprise their roles as A.C. Slater and Jessie Spano. This looks to be a sequel to the original series.

THR states that Mark-Paul Gosselaar and other original stars may also return. Saved by the Bell’s sequel will take place in modern-day and, as a shocker; Zach Morris is the acting Governor of California. Morris gets into hot water for closing one too many low-income schools and therefore introduces a proposal that will send students from the closed schools to the highest-performing schools in the state. This includes Bayside High. According to Comicbook.com:

“…These new students will give the privileged kids at Bayside a little bit of the reality that they’ve been missing.”

Creator Tracey Wigfield will serve as the showrunner and executive producer. What do you think of a Saved by the Bell reboot?[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
