They have made their choice as Patrick Brice, the director behind Creep, The Overnight, and Corporate Animals, has been chosen to take the helm.
Henry Gayden, the screenwriter for Shazam! penned the adaptation, and it is being produced by Shawn Levy’s 21 Laps and James Wan’s (Aquaman) Atomic Monster.
Production for the film which is reported to be a combination of the popular slasher films of the 80’s and 90’s and the coming of age films popularized by directors like John Hughes. Think Jason meets 16 Candles. On second thought, don’t think that…it’s too scary to contemplate. Production is slated to begin in the fall.
For those of you familiar with the book, are you excited about its adaptation? For those not, does the concept presented sound like something you would watch? Share your thoughts with us at GVNation.
