Fans of Netflix’s Gentefied will be happy to learn that the streaming service has been renewed for an eight-episode second season. The half-hour Latinx dramedy comes from Marvin Lemus and Linda Yvette Chavez.
Gentefied celebrated the renewal with the cast and creators announcing that they will reunite for a live virtual table read. This will be hosted by George Lopez and take place on Netflix is a Joke Youtube channel on Wednesday, May 20th. The purpose of this is to raise awareness for Proyecto Pastoral, which is a nonprofit in Boyle Heights that addresses the impacts of the COVID-19 outbreak in low-income families/residents in the Boyle Heights community.
