Disney Plus has got it going on! First we had Wanda, now for the whole month of April we get The Falcon and the Winter Solider. April brings in Arbor & Earth Day and so does Disney+ with content focused celebrating our planet. It’s been a year since COVID started and streaming services like Disney have not let us down during this time. This month we can binge-watch complete seasons of the animated series Stars Wars: The Clone Wars. My daughter and I are awaiting the brand new National Geographic documentary Secrets of the Whales that arrives this month. We’ve put all this and more in a list just for you.
New to Disney Plus is the sports comedy-drama original series Big Shots. The show follows Marvyn Korn, a fickle basketball coach (John Stamos) who is fired from his job. Where does he end up? How does teaching in at an elite girls’ private high school sound? Yvette Nicole plays the laid back head of the school and Jessalyn Gilsig a down to earth assistant coach. The show was co-created by David E. Kelley, mostly known for shows like Big Little Lies, The Undoing and Ally McBeal.
In honor of Earth month Disney+ will add various documentaries from Disneynature. We will see the debut of Elephant (narrated by Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex) and Dolphin Reef, narrated by Natalie Portman, accompanied by Diving With Dolphins – Dolphin Reef Behind The Scenes. Other documentaries by Disneynature that will be available to stream are , Chimpanzee (narrated by Tim Allen), African Cats (narrated by Samuel L. Jackson, Bears (narrated by John C. Reilly), Born in China (narrated by John Krasinski), Life on the Edge – Penguins Behind the Scenes, Wings of Life (narrated by Meryl Streep), The Crimson Wing: Mystery of the Flamingos, Monkey Kingdom (narrated by Tina Fey), and Penguins (narrated by Ed Helms).
Disney+ has bit of everything for all ages this month – your tots will be able to enjoy season 1 of Playtime with Puppy Dog Pals, season 3 of PJ Masks, and seasons 1 and 2 of Mickey Mouse and the Roadster Racers: Nutty Tales. In my house I have a child excited for seasons 12-19 and 23 of America’s Funniest Home Videos. Like I said something for everyone this month.

Mamma, Mimi, Michele, call out any one of those names and I will answer. There are several hats on my shelf. My passions are photography, being outside, movies, tv, pop culture and anything haunted or spooky. People are my other interest, I love meeting new people and socializing. When I lived in Savannah GA I worked as a tour guide both haunted and historical tours. I met people from all over the world, that was the best part of the job. All of this I can write about too, that’s the beauty of being a writer.
