David Ayer’s upcoming action thriller The Tax Collector stars Shia LaBeouf and now, we’ve gotten official images for the film. Courtesy of Collider, check out the photos below. LaBeouf and Bobby Soto star in this film as “tax collectors”, appropriately named Creeper and David. Creeper and David live in Los Angeles and work for a crime lord named Wizard. The duo collect his cut of the profits generated by local gangs that operate in Wizard’s territory.
Things get complicated when an old rival of Wizard returns from Mexico. This forces David to fight to protect his family. The images from Collider really excite me about this film. It feels like a mix of Sicario and some aspects of even Suicide Squad. It feels like a David Ayer film, but also doesn’t.
