[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”5089″ img_size=”665×360″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Matt Ryan has had an interesting run as the character Constantine. From having his own show, to appearing in the Arrow, to now in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.
We can see in a promo pic for the fourth season of Legends of Tomorrow, Constantine is front and center, with an interesting blue amulet around his neck. In a sit down at SDCC, the actor spoke about the unpredictability that Constantine brings to the party:
“Wherever John goes, there’s conflict. He brings his bag of tricks, but he also brings his emotional baggage with him. And he’s someone who, as we know, will sacrifice his best friend for the greater good. So he has his own motives and his own goals. So to bring him into this world, it’s like ‘What happens?’ And that’s the most interesting thing about doing this character in this context.”
As far as bringing Constantine into the mix in the first place, showrunner Phil Klemmer spoke:
“I had not really realized the fervor of [Constantine’s] fandom. I sort of accidentally discovered it. Honestly, we put him on the show just because we wanted him on the show. There’s no cynical calculation of trying to accumulate somebody else’s fans. I think we have fun with our characters.”
Legends of Tomorrow will return October 22nd of The CW.
