[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”1937″ img_size=”800×400″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]If you’ve seen Avengers: Infinity War, you know that Spider-Man’s fate was less than ideal. Making up for probably one of the saddest deaths in Infinity War, it’s hard to know what’s going to happen to Peter Parker in Avengers 4. Still, Parker must come back, because we’re already confirmed for a Spider-Man Sequel, Spider-Man: Far From Home. Marvel is not the kind of studio to want to give too much away, but Tom Holland is the master of spoilers and the title Far From Home does imply Peter being out of his comfort zone. Seems like he’s definitely not going to be in Queens, NY with Aunt May and his friends.
Spider-Man: Far From Home is currently filming in Europe and reportedly, Samuel L Jackson and Cobie Smulders are joining Holland for his sequel. Nick Fury and Agent Hill were last seen in the post-credits scene, with Fury paging Captain Marvel for help before both he and Hill turned into dust. Their mission in the MCU is far from over it seems, as Fury is also in the highly anticipated Captain Marvel film. The two work well with each other, so I’m interested in seeing what brings them to Parker, who before only seemed to be exclusively working with Tony Stark. Which, makes my heart palpitate as the idea that perhaps Stark isn’t making it past Avengers 4.
I believe Robert Downey Jr.’s contract is ended, but I’m only saying, that I believe that writing him out will include well…killing him off.
Spider-Man: Far From Home will see the return of director Jon Watts and Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, writers from the first film. As far as casting goes, we know Holland will be reprising his role as Spidey, and Jackson and Smulders will be coming on board. Jake Gyllenhaal could possibly join the film as Mysterio and Michael Keaton will be returning as Adrian Toomes, which I’m super excited about as he was a great character in Spider-Man: Homecoming!
Spider-man: Far From Home comes out in theaters July 5, 2019.
