‘Nikita’ Alum Shane West Brought In For Gotham’s Final Season

In an exclusive from Deadline: Nikita alum Shane West has been brought on for a recurring role on for Gotham’s upcoming fifth and final season on Fox.

West will take on the role of Eduardo Dorrance, who was an old Army buddy of Jim Gordon’s (Ben McKenzie). Dorrance returns to Gotham leading an elite team of soldiers with the supposed goal of assisting Gordon to restore order to No Man’s Land. In time, Gordon soon realizes that Dorrance’s true intentions in Gotham are much more sinister than he would have ever believed from his “old friend.”

Further information about Dorrance is not available at this time however, the character of  Eduardo Dorrance is believed to be related in some fashion to a well-known villain in the Batman comic universe, Sir Edmund Dorrance, aka King Snake. Batman fans know him as the father of Bane. Perhaps we may learn that Eduardo could be Bane himself. What better way to bring the series to a close than by bringing in one of the Dark Knights most notorious villains.

Does the prospect of seeing Bane in Gotham’s swan song make you even more ready for the final chapters? Share your hopes for how it all turns out with us at GVNation.
