No More Marvel Films on Netflix After ‘Captain Marvel’

The New York Times reported today that the last Marvel movie to be put on Netflix will be Ant Man and The Wasp, meaning that Captain Marvel will be the first MCU movie on the Disney streaming app! This is as big of a blow for Netflix as it is a win for Disney, since Netflix has had the rights to add the MCU movies to their library. But don’t fret yet, a Disney spokesperson has said that the titles on Netflix that fall under the Disney umbrella will not be removed any time soon, meaning Infinity War and Ant Man and the Wasp will for sure be seen on the service. As far as the Marvel shows on Netflix like Defenders, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage, they are supposedly staying on Netflix until the Disney streaming service is ready, per that same Disney spokesperson.

Going off Netflix as well will be all Star Wars shows and movies, and all Disney shows and movies; something that will let Netflix know that they are in for a serious fight come 2019.

What do you think about this? Does this make the Disney streaming service more enticing to you? Would you go with a Disney streaming service over Netflix? Let us know below in the comments!
