For the week of April 7th, we have some incredible releases making their way to our shelves. Read on to get a brief overview of what you should have on your wishlist, then be sure to dive into the full rundown in the video below.
This week, in the world of new theatrical films, we have the Lynne Ramsay psychological drama Die My Love starring Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson on 4K UHD Blu-Ray courtesy of Mubi. The film arrives with HDR10 but no special features. Elsewhere from Paramount, the creature feature horror film Primate arrives on Blu-Ray with a Dolby Atmos audio track and over an hour of supplements. Amazon MGM Studios brings the Chris Pratt and Rebecca Ferguson AI-judgement thriller Mercy to 4K UHD Blu-Ray with Dolby Vision and a Dolby Atmos audio track.
Anime fans are in for a treat with the Blu-Ray debut of Colorful Stage! The Movie: A Miku Who Can’t Sing courtesy of GKIDS. Based on the popular mobile game, it is the first feature film based on the Vocaloid character Hatsune Miku. The Collector’s Edition set is loaded with special features including a commentary track and 20 additional concert performances.
Fans of international cinema are sitting pretty this week with an array of releases, including the DVD release of Suspended Time from beloved auteur Olivier Assayas. The release from Music Box Films comes with an interview, a podcast, and more. There is also the long-awaited stop-motion/live-action hybrid fantasy film Sanatorium Under the Sign of the Hourglass from the Quay Brothers. The Blu-Ray release from KimStim comes with an hour-long Q&A, a documentary, and more. Altered Innocence presents the award-winning queer drama The Mysterious Gaze of the Flamingo on Blu-Ray.
Lionsgate Limited comes through this week with the release of The Substitute starring Tom Berenger and Ernie Hudson on 4K UHD Blu-Ray with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos audio. This release contains new and archival supplements for the action thriller.

It is a huge month for Vinegar Syndrome and OCN Distribution releases as we dive into an array of 4K UHD and Blu-Ray releases from some of our favorite sublabels and partner labels. First up, Cinematographe comes through with a Blu-Ray update of Badge 373 starring Robert Duvall, newly restored in 4K and presented with a commentary track, interviews, video essays, and more. We follow the other side of the law with the heist drama The Temple Woods Gang on Blu-Ray from Several Futures. The release comes with a Q&A with the director.
Film Movement Classics kicks off a big month with the Australian coming-of-age drama Somersault starring Abbie Cornish and Sam Worthington on Blu-Ray featuring a new restoration, a commentary track, a short film, and more. They also have the Zhang Yimou and Gong Li romantic drama Ju Dou on Blu-Ray with a new restoration and supplements, such as a commentary track, a panel discussion, and more. Fritz Lang’s Indian Epic featuring The Tiger of Eschnapur and The Indian Tomb arrives on Blu-Ray with commentary tracks, documentaries, and more.
We welcome the newest partner label, Muscle and the incredibly buzzy release of the queer epic Castration Movie Anthology I. Traps from director/ star Louise Weard. The two-disc release is packed with special features including two commentary tracks, a feature-length making-of documentary, an hour-long Q&A, and so much more. Circle Collective returns to the table with the comedic oddity King Baby on Blu-Ray with a commentary track, deleted scenes, and more. Bizzaro adds another 4K UHD Blu-Ray title with the third chilling chapter in the cult Blind Dead saga, The Ghost Galleon. The release comes in HDR10 with the original Spanish and an English-language dub, along with some special features including interviews and documentaries.
The folks at Glass Eye Pix bring Ti West’s early indie horror film The Roost to Blu-Ray with two commentary tracks, featurettes, and more. Dark Sky brings two titles to Blu-Ray this month starting with the horror outing Lilly Lives Alone, plus the Dale Dickie revenge drama The G. Each film comes with a commentary track. ETR Media brings the insightful documentary Art Spiegelman: Disaster Is My Muse to Blu-Ray with over six hours of special features.
