We at GVN aim to keep you informed of the newest and best in the world of physical media. Over on our YouTube Channel, you can find us talking about everything you need to know on No Streaming Required, our weekly guide to all the latest 4K UHD, Blu-Ray, and DVD releases.

For the week of July 16th, we have some incredible releases making their way to our shelves. Read on to get a brief overview of what you should have on your wishlist, then be sure to dive into the full rundown in the video below.

This week we dive into the eagerly anticipated 4K UHD debut of the disaster favorite Twister. The talented ensemble led by Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt still rocks over two decades later, and it makes an even greater impact with the new 4K restoration and house-shaking Dolby Atmos track. The new release comes with a new retrospective piece featuring director Jan de Bont along with archival bonus features including a commentary track.

Not to be outdone, the team at Shout! Studios and Scream Factory know their way around a new restoration. The label has restored the Ben Affleck science fiction thriller Phantoms from the Original Camera Negative in Dolby Vision. This release includes a number of special features including a pair of new interviews. Elsewhere on Blu-Ray, the label has restored additional genre efforts Dracula 2000 and the Marlon Brando adaptation of The Island of Dr. Moreau. Each release has been given a wealth of new special features that are not to be missed.

Two men in a hallway, one in a fur coat and the other in a beanie, both looking serious, with a third person slightly visible in the background.

This week we also extensively explore the world of Asian cinema in its various forms. Do you want something a little slapstick-y? The new 88 Films releases of The Inspector Wears Skirts 3 & 4 closes out the series in grand fashion with over-the-top antics, new 2K scans of the Original Camera Negatives, and new commentary tracks. Eureka Entertainment brings forth another revenge thriller with The Double Crossers from the legendary Golden Harvest. This new release has been given a 2K restoration of two cuts of the film and a pair of new commentary tracks. Newcomers Whole Grain Pictures knock it out of the park once again with the Vietnamese refugee drama Journey From the Fall. The impactful film has been rescued from obscurity with a new scan and a valuable array of supplemental features.

This is only a taste of what you can discover on No Streaming Required this week, so be sure to check out the full video below.
