We at GVN aim to keep you informed of the newest and best in the world of physical media. Over on our YouTube Channel, you can find us talking about everything you need to know on No Streaming Required, our weekly guide to all the latest 4K UHD, Blu-Ray, and DVD releases.

For the week of July 9th, we have some incredible releases making their way to our shelves. Read on to get a brief overview of what you should have on your wishlist, then be sure to dive into the full rundown in the video below.

This week we explore exciting new releases and overlooked older gems from the Warner Archive. First up we have the Blu-ray debut of the ’90s version of The Flash: The Complete Series. All 22 episodes have been beautifully restored in 4K from the Original Camera Negatives. If you still need more DC television in your life, we also spotlight the short-lived Constantine series which is also available on Blu-Ray with a nice array of special features.

Classic film fans have a lot to celebrate as we get the long-awaited Alfred Hitchcock screwball comedy Mr. & Mrs. Smith newly restored in 4K with a solid collection of legacy special features. The label has also done some amazing with The Man I Love starring Ida Lupino by restoring six minutes of the film that have been missing since its original theatrical release. Joan Crawford fans will be excited to add The Shining Hour to their collection with a stunning new 4K restoration. Fred Zinnemann helms our final new release with the gripping drama Act of Violence starring Van Heflin, Robert Ryan, and Janet Leigh.

A person in a red superhero costume with a lightning bolt symbol on the chest and gold accents on the mask stands with arms crossed against a dark background.

There are also some exciting older releases we bring back into the spotlight. Did you see the recent buzzy performance of Cabaret at The Tony Awards? Go back and watch the original Oscar-winning musical starring Liza Minnelli. Fantasy fans will want to scope out Ladyhawke with Matthew Broderick, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Rutger Hauer. There’s a double dose of John Wayne with The Seas Chase and Blood Alley. Not to mention a comedic outing from Clint Eastwood with his heartfelt Bronco Billy.

This is only a taste of what you can discover on No Streaming Required this week, so be sure to check out the full video below.
