We at GVN aim to keep you informed of the newest and best in the world of physical media. Over on our YouTube Channel, you can find us talking about everything you need to know on No Streaming Required, our weekly guide to all the latest 4K UHD, Blu-Ray, and DVD releases.

For the week of March 11th, we have some incredible releases making their way to our shelves. Read on to get a brief overview of what you should have on your wishlist, then be sure to dive into the full rundown in the video below.

This week we spotlight one of the biggest films of 2024 as Moana 2 hits 4K UHD Blu-Ray in a special SteelBook release with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos audio courtesy of Disney. The film starring the voices of Auliʻi Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson includes special features including a sing-along version, featurettes, deleted scenes, and more.

Elsewhere in the world of animation, we have the epic tale The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim on 4K UHD Blu-Ray from Warner Bros. with Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos audio, and a trio of featurettes. Also from the studio, we have the eagerly-anticipated 4K UHD Blu-Ray release of The Penguin with the great Colin Farrell. The release comes with all eight episodes in Dolby Vision with Dolby Atmos audio and an array of supplements. This is not the only television release as the Paramount+ original series Tulsa King: Season 2 arrives on Blu-Ray. This crime dramedy starring Sylvester Stallone returns with ten episodes and a bevy of special features not to be missed.

It is a huge week for Lionsgate releases as we dive into Amazon-exclusive 4K UHD Blu-Ray SteelBook releases. First up, we have the dystopian Bong Joon Ho drama Snowpiercer starring Chris Evans, Song Kang-ho, Tilda Swinton, and Octavia Spencer. The new release comes with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos audio along with a bonus disc full of featurettes, a documentary, a commentary track, and more. The studio also has the Jackie Chan and Jet Li action-fantasy picture The Forbidden Kingdom. The new release gets a Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos audio upgrade plus a commentary track, bloopers, featurettes, deleted scenes, and more.

The good folks at Deaf Crocodile have once again proven why they are one of the best in the game with the 4K UHD Blu-Ray release of Gwen and the Book of Sand restored in 4K with Dolby Vision. As always, the label has tons of supplements including interviews, a video essay, and a commentary track. We have another intriguing boutique release from Altered Innocence with the new genre-bending film Eat The Night on Blu-Ray. The disc includes interviews and multiple short films.

The fine folks at OCN Distribution have an exciting slate of Partner Label titles on Blu-Ray this month that offers a little something for everyone. Film Movement Classics offers a Japanese double feature with Two Faces of Tai Kato featuring video essays and featurettes. The label also has the South African apartheid drama Mapantsula newly restored in 4K from the Original Camera Negative. The main line of Film Movement delivers the shocking NSFW Czech drama Her Body. The folks at ETR Media explore the history of Street Fighter II with Here Comes A New Challenger: Championship Edition.

IFC Films has upgraded the Abel Ferrara dark odyssey 4:44 Last Day On Earth starring Willem Dafoe with new interviews, commentary tracks, and video essays. They also have Joe Swanberg and Adam Wingard’s Autoerotic hitting Blu-Ray with a new commentary track and a short film. Cinematographe has a pair of releases including the Blu-Ray debut of the Martha Coolidge sex comedy Joy of Sex. This new release was derived from a 4K restoration and arrives with a treasure trove of supplements. They also have the Tilda Swinton drama Female Perversions debuting on Blu-Ray with a new restoration and a world of special features.

This is only a taste of what you can discover on No Streaming Required this week, so be sure to check out the full video below.
