We at GVN aim to keep you informed of the newest and best in the world of physical media. Over on our YouTube Channel, you can find us talking about everything you need to know on No Streaming Required, our weekly guide to all the latest 4K UHD, Blu-Ray, and DVD releases.

For the week of March 25th, we have some incredible releases making their way to our shelves. Read on to get a brief overview of what you should have on your wishlist, then be sure to dive into the full rundown in the video below.

This week we spotlight another star-studded Disney sequel as Mufasa: The Lion King hits 4K UHD Blu-Ray in a special SteelBook release with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos audio. The film features the voices of Aaron Pierre, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Mads Mikkelsen, Seth Rogen, Billy Eichner, Donald Glover, Beyoncé, and more. The home entertainment release includes special features including a sing-along version, featurettes, deleted scenes, and more.

Elsewhere in the world of animation, we have the Oscar-nominated Memoir of a Snail on Blu-Ray in a two-pack with Mary & Max courtesy of IFC Films. Both titles come with commentary tracks, featurettes, and more. AnimEigo also has the cycling drama Nasu: Summer In Andalusia on Blu-Ray with interviews, storyboard comparisons, and more. In the world of television, we have the Blu-Ray SteelBook release of Star Trek: Lower Decks – The Complete Series. The release comes with all 50 episodes from the five seasons and an array of supplements not to be missed.

Fans of Chris Farley and David Spade are sitting pretty this week with two 4K UHD Blu-Ray releases for some comedy favorites. Paramount is celebrating the 30th anniversary of Tommy Boy with a new 4K remaster in Dolby Vision along with the previously available special features. Kino Lorber Studios Classics has their follow-up Black Sheep newly scanned in 4K from the 35mm Original Camera Negative with Dolby Vision and a new commentary track from the director.

It is a huge week for The Criterion Collection releases as we dive into a trio of 4K UHD Blu-Ray releases. First up, we have the giant creature feature Godzilla vs. Biollante remastered in 4K from the Original Camera Negative with HDR10 and Japanese audio along with a commentary track and more. The label also has the James Caan heist drama Thief restored in 4K from the Original Camera Negative with Dolby Vision, a commentary track, interviews, and more. Finally, they are giving the Gene Hackman private eye drama Night Moves a 4K UHD upgrade with Dolby Vision, a commentary track, interviews, and more

The fine folks at OCN Distribution have an exciting slate of Partner Label titles on Blu-Ray this month that offer a little something for everyone. Film Movement Classics offers a Japanese erotic drama with The Oldest Profession from Noboru Tanaka newly restored in 4K featuring a video essay. The label also has the fishing documentary Tarpon restored in 4K from the original elements featuring a soundtrack from Jimmy Buffett. The main line of Film Movement delivers the shocking drama Saint-Narcisse from director Bruce La Bruce, a filmmaker who is also represented over at Circle Collective with The Visitor. Both films are NSFW narratives you will not soon forget.

The folks at ETR Media explore the history of an indie film distributor with American Expendables: The Films of North American Pictures on Blu-Ray with a commentary track, additional footage, and a bonus feature film. Shudder has upgraded the druggy horror film A Spoonful of Sugar with new interviews, a commentary track, and more. Cinematographe has the Blu-Ray debut of the Alan Arkin comedy Last of the Red Hot Lovers. This new release was derived from a 4K restoration and arrives with a rich array of supplements. We also spotlight the Vinegar Syndrome Labs release of The Belly of an Architect on Blu-Ray from a 2K restoration with a commentary track and new interviews.
