A collection of DVD and Blu-ray cases are stacked against a turquoise background, featuring titles like "Deep Blue Sea," "Kill Bill Vol. 1," and "The Conversation.

We at GVN aim to keep you informed of the newest and best in the world of physical media. Over on our YouTube Channel, you can find us talking about everything you need to know on No Streaming Required, our weekly guide to all the latest 4K UHD, Blu-Ray, and DVD releases.

For the week of March 4th, we have some incredible releases making their way to our shelves. Read on to get a brief overview of what you should have on your wishlist, then be sure to dive into the full rundown in the video below.

This week we spotlight two new big-budget 4K UHD Blu-Ray releases as Ridley Scott’s epic sequel Gladiator II arrives with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos audio from Paramount with over 90 minutes of special features. Warner Bros. also brings the Christmas spectacle Red One starring The Rock, Chris Evans and J.K. Simmons to 4K UHD Blu-Ray with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos audio. This release does not include special features.

We also have some big releases from Lionsgate and their new Lionsgate Limited line arriving on 4K UHD Blu-Ray. First up, we pay tribute to the late Gene Hackman with a monster 4K UHD release of The Conversation from director Francis Ford Coppola. The epic box set comes with the film newly restored in 4K from the Original Camera Negative in Dolby Vision along with tons of special features both on disc and within the elaborate packaging. Classic film fans will also want to scoop up The Third Man starring Joseph Cotten and Orson Welles newly restored on 4K UHD with Dolby Vision. The new release comes with a commentary track, a feature-length documentary, and more.

The fun continues from the line with a trio of new releases from Quentin Tarantino with Jackie Brown and Kill Bill: Volumes 1 & 2 on 4K UHD Blu-Ray. Jackie Brown has been given a stunning 4K restoration from the Original Camera Negative with some nice archival special features including a making-of featurette, interviews, promos, and more. The Kill Bill films have been upscaled to 4K and include all of the archival special features.

Horror fans have a lot to celebrate this week including the domestic 4K UHD Blu-Ray debut of the cult favorite home invasion tale You’re Next. The Lionsgate Limited release comes with Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos audio, and all of the previously available features from the Lionsgate and Second Sight releases. Blue Underground has another home invasion tale with a twist with Venom from 1981 starring Klaus Kinski facing off against a killer snake. The 4K UHD Blu-Ray comes with a brand-new restoration with Dolby Vision and a new Dolby Atmos audio mix, along with commentary tracks, interviews, and more. Red Shirt Pictures and Synapse Films make a huge impression with a 4K restoration of Trick or Treat on 4K UHD Blu-Ray from 1986 from the original 35mm camera negative mastered in Dolby Vision with numerous commentary tracks, a feature-length retrospective documentary, and more.

It is a huge month for Arrow Video as they unleash some impressive 4K UHD and Blu-Ray releases. One of the biggest releases of the month is the 4K UHD Blu-Ray debut of Deep Blue Sea. The killer shark film starring Samuel L. Jackson gets the upgrade it deserves with a new 4K remaster of the Original Camera Negative with Dolby Vision, a Dolby Atmos track, and new special features. They put in a similar effort with the giallo classic Don’t Torture A Duckling newly on 4K UHD Blu-Ray derived from a 4K restoration from the original 2-perf Techniscope camera negative with Dolby Vision and a boat load of special features that fans will not want to miss. Finally, the Yasuzō Masumura erotic drama Play It Cool gets a Blu-Ray release with the film from a new HD master along with several engaging supplemental features.

The good folks at Severin Films have once again released a varied array of 4K UHD and Blu-Ray upgrades fans will want to scoop up. Jean-Pierre Jeunet fans have been given a nice upgrade of his darkly comedic classic Delicatessen with a 4K scan of the Original Camera Negative in Dolby Vision and over three hours of special features. They also offer an upgrade of Antiviral, the debut feature by writer/director Brandon Cronenberg. The 4K UHD Blu-Ray comes from a 4K scan from the 35mm protection internegative in Dolby Vision with a commentary track, a short film, and more. Finally, we have the North American Blu-Ray debut of the Lamberto Bava horror film The Mask of Satan scanned in 2K from the original camera negative with a trio of interviews.
