A box set labeled "Shaw Scope Volume Four" is displayed above a stack of eight DVD and Blu-ray movie cases against a teal background.

We at GVN aim to keep you informed of the newest and best in the world of physical media. Over on our YouTube Channel, you can find us talking about everything you need to know on No Streaming Required, our weekly guide to all the latest 4K UHD, Blu-Ray, and DVD releases.

For the week of November 25th, we have some incredible releases making their way to our shelves. Read on to get a brief overview of what you should have on your wishlist, then be sure to dive into the full rundown in the video below.

This week, we spotlight films fresh from theaters with the 4K UHD Blu-Ray debut of The Conjuring: Last Rites from Warner Bros., which concludes the long-running horror franchise. Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga return as the iconic demon-fighting married couple alongside some new and familiar faces. The release comes with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos audio, along with special features including a trio of featurettes. We also have the dark comedy The Roses from Searchlight Pictures starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Olivia Colman as a successful couple whose seemingly picture-perfect marriage begins falling apart. The Blu-Ray release comes with various featurettes and bloopers.

We head over to the land of boutique releases as Deaf Crocodile brings a new limited edition slipcover release of the animated masterwork Heroic Times to Blu-Ray, which was derived from a 4K restoration by the National Film Institute-Film Archive in Hungary. The release comes loaded with supplements including a commentary track, three short films, and multiple interviews.

Documentary fans are treated very well this week as Music Box Films brings the wonderfully absurd Secret Mall Apartment, which lives up to its title, to Blu-Ray with a Q&A, a documentary, deleted scenes, featurettes, and more. There is also Monk in Pieces from Zeitgeist Films and Kino Lorber on Blu-Ray, which explores the life of Avant-garde artist Meredith Monk through interviews with Monk, David Byrne, Björk, and more. The disc is loaded with additional performances from the artist throughout her career. We get another layered artistic portrait with Thank You Very Much on Blu-Ray from Drafthouse Films, which explores the life of Andy Kaufman through archival footage and interviews with Danny DeVito, Marilu Henner, and more

Two people in a car react with concern as a dark, mud-covered creature with glowing eyes sits beside them.

The heroes at Arrow Video have an impressive start to their stacked December slate. Giallo fans can celebrate the long-awaited release of The House with Laughing Windows on 4K UHD Blu-Ray from a 4K restoration of the Original Camera Negative with HDR10 and a restored mono track. The release includes two commentary tracks, a feature-length documentary, visual essays, and more. One of the biggest releases of the year finally hits shelves as Shawscope: Vol. 4 arrives on Blu-Ray with SIXTEEN weird, wild, and horrific feature films newly restored in 2K from the Original Camera Negatives. This stunning set is loaded with special features including 11 commentary tracks, interviews, featurettes, visual essays, and more.

Eureka Entertainment keeps us in the world of Hong Kong cinema with Triple Threat: Three Films with Sammo Hung on Blu-Ray featuring The Manchu Boxer, Paper Marriage, and Shanghai, Shanghai. These films have had their Hong Kong theatrical cuts restored in 2K, and the first pressing includes a bonus disc with extended international versions of The Manchu Boxer and Shanghai, Shanghai. Each film has been given a commentary track to accompany an array of interviews. These represent various different tones that Sammo Hung plays within effortlessly.

This is only a taste of what you can discover on No Streaming Required this week, so be sure to check out the full video below.
