We at GVN aim to keep you informed of the newest and best in the world of physical media. Over on our YouTube Channel, you can find us talking about everything you need to know on No Streaming Required, our weekly guide to all the latest 4K UHD, Blu-Ray, and DVD releases.

For the week of November 5th, we have some incredible releases making their way to our shelves. Read on to get a brief overview of what you should have on your wishlist, then be sure to dive into the full rundown in the video below.

This week we spotlight a 4K UHD Blu-Ray upgrade of a nasty Sam Raimi horror outing Drag Me To Hell courtesy of Scream Factory. The new release has been given a 4K bump approved by Raimi with both the Theatrical and Unrated versions presented in Dolby Vision. It also comes with a new 2-hour documentary on the making of the film along with the previously released special features. The label has also released the home invasion thriller Model House on Blu-Ray featuring a group of models taken captive by masked intruders.

Musical fans will delight in the fact that The Criterion Collection has released the classic Barbra Streisand debut Funny Girl on 4K UHD Blu-Ray courtesy of a new 4K restoration conducted by Sony from the Original Camera Negative presented in Dolby Vision. The release comes with a new 40-minute interview with Streisand, a new interview with director William Wyler’s son, a documentary on Wyler, and more.

Paramount has dug into their vaults and provided two very different classics with a 4K UHD Blu-ray release. No Thanksgiving is complete without the beloved comedy sequel Addams Family Values out now with a 4K remaster in Dolby Vision and new special features including a commentary track with director Barry Sonnenfeld. After that, you can enrich the holiday season with the Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye musical White Christmas. The film has been restored from the original VistaVision negative in Dolby Vision and includes the previously released special features.

Fun City Editions continues to be one of the most exciting labels in the physical media space as they rescue two hard-to-find ’80s gems on Blu-Ray. First up, we have the feature debut of Phoebe Cates in Paradise newly restored in 4K from the Original Camera Negative with previously unreleased footage and a new commentary track. They also have the campy aerobics competition drama Heavenly Bodies restored in 4K from the 35mm Internegative. This release comes with a new commentary track and a new interview with actress Cynthia Dale.

The fine folks at Radiance Films have a trio of exciting releases on the docket this week new to Blu-Ray. We begin with the Daiei Gothic: Japanese Ghost Stories set featuring The Ghost of Yotsuya, The Snow Woman, and The Bride from Hades. This release is packed with new and archival interviews, visual essays, and more. Elsewhere in Japanese cinema, we have Japan Organized Crime Boss from director Kinji Fukasaku newly restored with numerous extras. Finally, we have Slap the Monster on Page One from director Marco Bellocchio newly restored in 4K with new and archival interviews. Radiance truly came to play this month.

This is only a taste of what you can discover on No Streaming Required this week, so be sure to check out the full video below.
