For the week of October 28th, we have some incredible releases making their way to our shelves. Read on to get a brief overview of what you should have on your wishlist, then be sure to dive into the full rundown in the video below.
This week, we spotlight the 4K UHD Blu-Ray debut of the Johnny Depp and Winona Ryder fan favorite Edward Scissorhands from director Tim Burton courtesy of 20th Century Studios. The release comes newly remastered in 4K with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos audio. The release comes with two commentary tracks, interviews, a featurette, and more. We also have the new collector’s edition Blu-Ray release of the beloved Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island from Warner Bros. The updated release comes with a slipcover, booklet, and a new commentary track.
Elsewhere in the land of horror, we have the domestic 4K UHD Blu-Ray debut of Jacob’s Ladder starring Tim Robbins available exclusively from Lionsgate Limited. The release comes restored in 4K from the Original Camera Negative with Dolby Vision and two different audio tracks. The SteelBook release comes loaded with supplements like commentary tracks, interviews, a video essay, and more. The company also has the Rob Zombie exploitation favorite The Devil’s Rejects debuting the theatrical cut on 4K UHD Blu-Ray exclusively at Amazon. The 4K remaster is provided in Dolby Vision with DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio. Special features includes two commentary tracks, featurettes, deleted scenes, and a 2.5-hour documentary.
The fine folks at Vinegar Syndrome and OCN Distribution have a jam-packed array of main slate and Partner Label titles on 4K UHD and Blu-Ray this month. First up from Vinegar Syndrome, we have the 4K UHD Blu-Ray debut of Sleepless from director Dario Argento newly restored from a 4K scan of the Original Camera Negative. The release comes with English and Italian audio options and an avalanche of new and archival interviews to accompany the commentary track. The label also has the Hammer horror film The Man Who Could Cheat Death on 4K UHD Blu-Ray restored from the 35mm Original Camera Negative with two different cuts of the film in Dolby Vision. Special features include a commentary track, interviews, and an alternate ending.
Over at Cinematographe, we have the crime drama King of the Gypsies starring Eric Roberts, Susan Sarandon, and Judd Hirsch on 4K UHD Blu-Ray from a 4K restoration of the Original Camera Negative in Dolby Vision. The special features include a commentary track, interviews, a video essay, and more. A new partner label joins the family as The Horror Section debuts the bloody insane Jimmy and Stiggs from director Joe Begos on 4K UHD Blu-Ray with Dolby Vision, three commentary tracks, a documentary, and more. Another new label comes into the fray as Wild Eye Releasing brings the exploitation throwback The Disco Exorcist to Blu-Ray with two commentary tracks, deleted scenes, and more.

Factory 25 has the Norwegian black metal documentary Until the Light Takes Us on Blu-Ray with unused interviews, deleted scenes, and more. IFC Films has the Larry Fessenden Frankenstein-inspired tale Depraved on 4K UHD Blu-Ray with HDR10, two commentary tracks, and a feature-length documentary. They also have the eerie drama Berberian Sound Studio on Blu-Ray featuring two commentary tracks, interviews, a short film, and more. Over at Cinephobia Releasing, we have the extremely violent Brute 1976 on Blu-Ray with a commentary track.
The mainline of Film Movement has the gothic period drama Carmilla hitting Blu-Ray with an additional short film, while KimStim brings the Kiyoshi Kurosawa serial killer drama Creepy to Blu-Ray with a commentary track and visual essay. Things get a bit metal with the documentary Skull World from ETR Media which explores the weird world of box wars. We even have a new release from Cartuna as AJ Goes to the Dog Park hits Blu-Ray with two commentary tracks, interviews, featurettes, and more.
