We at GVN aim to keep you informed of the newest and best in the world of physical media. Over on our YouTube Channel, you can find us talking about everything you need to know on No Streaming Required, our weekly guide to all the latest 4K UHD, Blu-Ray, and DVD releases.

For the week of September 17th, we have some incredible releases making their way to our shelves. Read on to get a brief overview of what you should have on your wishlist, then be sure to dive into the full rundown in the video below.

This week we explore exciting new releases from Kino Classics, Kino Lorber Studio Classics, Milestone Films and Raro Video. First up we have an abundance of 4K UHD Blu-ray debuts including a ’90s action classic. Jean-Claude Van Damme leads the explosive thriller Sudden Death now available from a new 4K scan of the 35mm Original Camera Negative with Dolby Vision and a new audio commentary track. Murder mystery fans are in luck with the 4K UHD debut of the Sidney Lumet adaptation of Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express with a much-needed 4K scan of the 35mm Original Camera Negative with Dolby Vision, a new commentary track, and legacy special features. This one has an all-star cast including Albert Finney, Lauren Bacall, Ingrid Bergman, Sean Connery, and Anthony Perkins.

International cinephiles are in for a treat with a trio of releases from beloved auteurs. The late Jean-Luc Godard has his standout Alphaville newly remastered from a 4K restoration conducted by StudioCanal. This restoration is presented with Dolby Vision and a wealth of special features. StudioCanal also handled the restoration efforts for two early Jean-Pierre Melville gems now available on 4K UHD. Both Bob Le Flambeur and Le Doulos have been lovingly preserved from the Original Camera Negatives with SDR presentations and insightful legacy features.

The vibes are right with the ’70s and ’80s titles including the newly remastered romance First Love with Susan Dey, the women’s wrestling drama Below the Belt, the monster truck revenge tale Rolling Vengeance newly re-released with a new slipcover, and the made-for-TV true crime drama Fatal Vision that has been given a fresh master that makes it look like a million bucks.

There are also three films from Brigitte Bardot debuting domestically on Blu-Ray with Naughty Girl, Les Femmes, and Two Week In September. One of cinema’s great beauties captivated the screen like few others, and this trio of French films shows her range from spritely and playful to reflective and dramatic. These have been lovingly restored by StudioCanal and include a commentary track for each film.

This is only a taste of what you can discover on No Streaming Required this week, so be sure to check out the full video below.
