The trailer to Captain Marvel gave us hope, the trailer to Avengers: Endgame broke us again, and the recently released trailer to Spider-Man: Far From home felt like the events of Infinity War never happened. In regards to the timeline, Marvel president Kevin Feige confirmed that Far From Home will take place minutes after Endgame which seems like a pretty upbeat storyline considering I’m sure that Endgame is going to be just as much, if not more; tragic than its predecessor.
As we all wrack our brains trying to figure out an explanation, one Reddit user has a theory. One that suggests that Peter Parker never got off the bus in Infinity War; partially due to the fact that the suit Spider-Man is in during the Far From Home trailer is the original suit made for him by Tony Stark, not the “Iron Spidey” suit. In this theory, he doesn’t get off the bus because of a Q ship appeared in the sky. This could potentially happen because of the event sin Endgame and with the reality and time stone coming into play.
I have to say that I’m not entirely on board with a theory that “erases” events per se. I know we will be dealing with the Quantum Realm and time travel in Endgame and of course, I want our heroes to come back; Peter Parker needs to considering he has his own sequel movie, but was turned to dust in Infinity War. ComicBook.com also pointed out Thanos’s “I hope they remember you” speech to Tony could be related to his death facilitating a reality reset. But, no one wants Tony to die – although, where was he in Far From Home’s trailer, unless they’re not including him on purpose to freak us all out?
