[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”4039″ img_size=”900×500″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]UPDATE: This report for the time being seems to have debunked according to The Wrap’s Umberto Gonazalez. We will have more on this news should anything else unfold but as of right now it looks like getting our hopes up for Oscar Isaac being in the DCU are put on hold.
No, the studio did not meet with Oscar Isaac for any role in THE BATMAN. They don’t even have a script yet. Also, Isaac has been shooting EPISODE IX & the only break he had was to do press for OPERATION FINALE in NYC.

Any fan of Oscar Isaac will be happy to know that he has reportedly met with Warner Brothers about an undisclosed role in the upcoming DC film The Batman. There hasn’t been any official statements or roles that we know of, but Isaac has a long resume and a large fan base resulted from his character Poe Dameron from the recent Star Wars films.
There’s also a lot of rumors speculating around The Batman. The upcoming DC film will be a neo-noir film and it may or may not feature a younger Batman. This is all speculation, as there are many who are looking forward to a new direction for Batman and others who wish to see Ben Affleck back as the Caped Crusader.
Either way, no matter who is decided to be Batman, it would be great to see Oscar Isaac in a DC film. As a fan-favorite in the Star Wars universe, bringing him into the DC Universe would just be a fantastic addition to the already star-studded extended universe. Isaac will return to Star Wars in Star Wars: Episode IX in 2019.
