    TL;DR

    • Scary Movie makes its streaming debut September 3, including an Extended Cut.
    • Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren return for MobLand Season 2 on September 18.
    • South Park Season 29 begins streaming new episodes the day after their Comedy Central premieres starting September 17.
    • New Paramount+ originals include The Varnell Hill Show, Golden Axe, Route 187 and Team Moms: Baseball.
    • Survivor Season 51 and The Amazing Race Season 39 arrive later in the month.
    • September 1 brings a massive library drop including the Rocky films, Creed trilogy, Event Horizon, Shutter Island, Galaxy Quest and plenty of horror titles.

September is going to be a busy month for Paramount+ subscribers.

The streaming service has unveiled its September 2026 lineup, and there is a little bit of everything coming over the next several weeks. Horror fans get the streaming arrival of the new Scary Movie, crime drama viewers have another season of MobLand, animation fans can check out the new Golden Axe series, and CBS staples including Survivor and The Amazing Race are heading back.

That is before getting into a huge September 1 movie library refresh filled with horror, action, comedy and several complete franchises.

Here are the biggest Paramount+ additions to watch in September, followed by the complete schedule.

Scary Movie Comes To Paramount+ September 3

One of September’s biggest movie arrivals is Scary Movie, the sixth entry in the long-running horror parody franchise.

The movie begins streaming exclusively on Paramount+ September 3, less than two months after its theatrical release. An Extended Cut will also be available the same day.

The new installment brings the Wayans brothers back to the franchise after more than two decades, with Marlon Wayans and Shawn Wayans returning as Shorty and Ray.

For anyone who skipped the theatrical run or simply wants to see what additional material made it into the longer version, September 3 becomes the date to circle.

MobLand Season 2 Arrives September 18

A man in a dark jacket aims a silenced handgun, standing indoors with a focused expression.

One of Paramount+’s biggest original dramas returns September 18.

MobLand Season 2 brings Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren back into the increasingly bloody world of the Harrigan crime family.

The first season built its story around fixer Harry Da Souza attempting to keep the Harrigans alive while their escalating conflict threatened to consume everyone around them. Season 2 appears ready to make that situation even more dangerous.

Paramount has been marketing the new episodes around one very simple promise: chaos is coming.

South Park Season 29 Starts September 17

South Park continues its long relationship with Paramount+ beginning September 17.

Season 29 episodes will become available on the service the day after their Comedy Central premieres in the United States, Canada and Australia.

Considering how quickly South Park reacts to politics, celebrity news and whatever strange story happens to dominate the internet that week, the next-day streaming window should make it significantly easier for Paramount+ viewers to keep up with the latest episodes.

The Varnell Hill Show Premieres September 1

Paramount+ is opening the month with a return to the world of Martin.

Tommy Davidson reprises Varnell Hill in The Varnell Hill Show, a new half-hour workplace comedy executive produced by Martin Lawrence and Bentley Kyle Evans.

The character originally appeared in one of the most memorable episodes of Martin, where Varnell was presented as a wildly successful talk-show host whose larger-than-life personality quickly overwhelmed Martin Payne.

Now Varnell gets his own series more than 30 years later.

Golden Axe Becomes An Animated Series

Sega’s classic fantasy beat-’em-up franchise is making the jump to television with Golden Axe.

The new Paramount+ original animated series premieres September 16 and brings the swords, sorcery and over-the-top fantasy world of the games to episodic television.

It arrives during a period where video game adaptations are expanding beyond obvious cinematic franchises, making Golden Axe one of the more unexpected properties to receive a modern revival.

Route 187 Also Premieres September 16

    September 16 is a double-original day for Paramount+.

Alongside Golden Axe, the service will launch Route 187, a new limited series.

The project gives viewers looking for something outside animation another new Paramount+ original arriving in the middle of the month.

Colin From Accounts Begins Its Final Season

Colin From Accounts returns September 10 for its third and final season.

The Australian romantic comedy follows Ashley and Gordon as their messy relationship continues evolving around the equally chaotic circumstances that originally brought them together.

Paramount+ has confirmed that this will be the end of the series, giving the creative team an opportunity to actually finish the story rather than leaving viewers wondering whether another season will happen.

Survivor And The Amazing Race Return

September also marks the beginning of the traditional fall television season.

Survivor Season 51 premieres September 23, once again bringing another group of players together to outwit, outplay and outlast each other.

One week later, The Amazing Race begins Season 39 with a two-night premiere event starting September 30.

Both CBS series will be available through Paramount+ for eligible subscribers.

Team Moms: Baseball Brings Reality Drama September 24

Paramount+ is heading into the youth sports world with Team Moms: Baseball on September 24.

The reality series comes from Kim Kardashian and producers associated with Love Island USA, following families surrounding competitive youth baseball.

Paramount’s marketing makes it clear that the drama in the stands may be every bit as intense as what happens on the field.

The 2026 MTV Video Music Awards Stream September 27

Music fans can also watch the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards on September 27.

The annual awards show will air as a CBS special with Paramount+ availability for eligible subscribers.

September 1 Brings A Huge Movie Library Drop

If you are less interested in new originals and more interested in filling out your watchlist, September 1 may actually be the biggest day of the month.

Paramount+ is adding dozens of movies, including major franchises and plenty of horror titles just in time for the beginning of spooky season.

The complete Rocky series arrives alongside Rocky Balboa, while all three Creed movies are also joining the service.

Horror fans can choose from titles including Event Horizon, Pet Sematary, Silver Bullet, Thinner, The Dead Zone, The Ruins, The Monster Squad, The Woman in Black, Dracula 2000 and the Prophecy movies.

Other recognizable additions include Dunkirk, Edge of Tomorrow, Shutter Island, Argo, Galaxy Quest, Godzilla, King Kong, Dodgeball, Tommy Boy and My Cousin Vinny.

    What Should You Watch First?

If you’re looking for the biggest new movie, Scary Movie is easily September’s headline streaming premiere. Horror fans also have enough library additions on September 1 to start Halloween viewing a month early.

On the television side, MobLand Season 2 is arguably the month’s biggest returning Paramount+ original, while Golden Axe is the most intriguing wild card simply because an animated adaptation of the Sega franchise is not something many viewers would have predicted a few years ago.

Then there are the comfort-food options.

The Rocky and Creed movies alone could fill several evenings, while Galaxy Quest, Shutter Island, Event Horizon, Edge of Tomorrow and My Cousin Vinny make September 1 one of the stronger library refreshes Paramount+ has offered recently.

Between new originals, returning network favorites, sports and a sizable movie catalog expansion, subscribers should have no shortage of things to watch throughout September.
