There hasn’t been much revealed in regards to casting other than the desire to cast a gay lead for the movie. Now, we’ve got some news, according to a 4Chan; as to what the film is looking for.
For The Eternals, Marvel is looking to bring on a diverse cast. They are looking for a woman of color to headline this project, for the role of the human Margo Damien who befriends the group. For the shortlist of actress they wish to bring on for this part, we have:
- Ana de Armas
- Eiza Gonzales
- Gina Rodriguez
- Naomi Scott
For the male lead Ikaris:
- Alexander Skarsgard
- Armie Hammer
- Sam Heughan
- Charlie Hunnan
Secondary female lead Sersi:
- Sofia Boutella
- Tatianna Maslany
- Marie Avgerepoulous
And for supporting roles, we have:
- Luke Evans
- Sylvia Hoeks
- Rami Malik
- Millie Bobby Brown
- David Oyelowo
- Ian McShane
It’s important to note that no offers are on the table just yet, but based on the shortlists we are seeing, this is going to be a great cast of some really well-known actors. Which, will certainly help bring attention to the movie for the not so dedicated comic-book readers who Disney and Marvel will still want to fill theater seats to see the movie.
