Yeah, I know. We haven’t even gotten Star Trek: Picard Season 2 yet. But since when has that ever stopped a television series. Although in truth, a lot of things can change between now and when Season 3 goes into production. That being said, our friends at The Illuminerdi have some information about a new character being introduced for the 3rd Season.
But first, they report that Q actor John Delancie indicated that he had filmed some Season 3 scenes along with his Season 2 appearances. This might mean that whatever storyline he is in needs some completion going into the third. However it is the new character that intrigues.
It is being reported that a son for Picard is being introduced in Season 3. While this is hardly a new story point for Picard, it still has some gravitas for the former Admiral.
According to The Illuminerdi, “the character breakdown indicates that his son is named Henry and is in his early 20’s. This would mean that he was born sometime in the mid 2370’s, that’s sometime after First Contact and before Nemesis.”
As for who the Mother of this as yet undisclosed son is, that remains a mystery. But it’s not like Picard was a Monk. There are a number of options and there is still the possibility that things could change from now. Hard to believe, I know.
So what do you think about another son for Picard? I’m open to it. If they make it a unique storyline and not rehash old ones. Since we haven’t gotten to Season 2 yet, we have time.
