Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may have walked away from royalty, but they’re now going to become Netflix stars. According to Vanity Fair, the famous couple has signed a multiyear deal with the streaming platform. The two will be producing a lot of different programs, such as documentaries, docuseries, movies, and children’s programming.
The couple put out a statement in regards to the deal:
“Our focus will be on creating content that informs but also gives hope. As new parents, making inspirational family programming is also important to us.”
Ted Sarandos, Netflix’s co-chief executive and chief content officer; also put out a statement:
“We’re incredibly proud they have chosen Netflix as their creative home and are excited about telling stories with them that can help build resilience and increase understanding for audiences everywhere.”
